Area Sales Manager - Western Europe

The publicly listed company Semperit AG Holding is an internationally-oriented group that develops, produces, and sells in more than 100 countries highly specialised rubber products for the medical and industrial sectors: examination and surgical gloves, hydraulic and industrial hoses, conveyor belts, escalator handrails, construction profiles, cable car rings, and products for railway superstructures. The headquarters of this long-standing Austrian company, which was founded in 1824, are located in Vienna. The Semperit Group employs around 6,900 people worldwide, including about 3,600 in Asia and around 900 in Austria (Vienna and production site in Wimpassing, Lower Austria). The Group has 14 manufacturing facilities worldwide and numerous sales offices in Europe, Asia, Australia, and America. In 2019, the group generated revenue of EUR 840.6 million and an adjusted EBITDA (without one-off effects) of EUR 63.8 million.

Key responsibilities:

  • Execute market strategy fixed with Head of Sales
  • Active order acquisition and intensive customer management in order to grow sales turnover and sold quantities
  • Existing customers: growth of supply share and progress in long term business relationship
  • New customers: identification of new potential business, introduction of business relationship, definition of "way forward", understanding of customer requests and coordination with company interests
  • Ongoing market research
  • Identify market trends (products, service, market structure) and communicate those inside the company
  • Trouble-shooting, claim setting, major daily issues
  • Organization of factory visits with our customers

Who we are looking for:

  • Technical or commercial education (University, University of applied science)
  • Min. 5 years working experience in B2B sales, ideally international
  • German: native level; English: fluent. Any other foreign language is an advantage
  • Independent working style
  • good knowledge of business contexts
  • versed in dealing with common IT systems
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Hands-on-Mentality
  • Ambition to develop career further in mid-term
  • Driving License
  • Willingness to travel in Sales Region "Western Europe" (~60% of working time)

Gross monthly salary: from EUR €3,500.00  (in accordance with the collective labour agreement); higher rates dependent on professional qualifications and experience
